Little hop as the ball leaves their strings, weight forward, racket up in front of you. Nothing has happened yet, and that is the point. Most missed forehands are already lost right here, standing flat.
Tennis lessons in west Cobb for kids who want to get good, high school players chasing a spot, and grown-ups starting over. Coached by Sheana Sinclair-Abraham.

This is what a lesson actually fixes. Scroll and the racket moves through the swing. Tap the court to hit it again.

Shoulder turns first, hands follow. The racket goes back early so it never has to rush forward. Early beats fast, every single time.
Out in front, off the front hip, strings on the outside of the ball. This is the only moment the ball actually feels, so this is the one we drill until it is automatic.
Finish up and across your body and let the shoulder do the last of the work. A full finish is what turns a poke into a shot with real shape on it, and it leaves you balanced for the next ball.
That is the whole method: find the one piece costing you the point, fix it, then hit enough balls that you stop thinking about it.
Book a lessonSame coach, same standard. The only thing that changes is where you're starting from.
Red and orange balls, shorter courts, lighter frames. Kids learn to rally in the first few sessions instead of chasing balls into the fence.
Strokes built properly, then match play, patterns, and how to hold up when a set gets tight. For players heading toward tournaments and team tennis.
Tryout-ready in the off-season, sharp during it. Serve, return, doubles positioning, and the point-by-point discipline coaches actually pick for.
Brand new, back after twenty years off, or holding down a line in ALTA or USTA league. Same coach, same patience.

One thing to know before you book: Cobb County charges its own court fee at tennis centers, separate from lesson time. It runs about $3 per hour for adults and $2 for juniors and seniors, and an annual court pass is worth it if your player is out there every week.
Sheana grew up in New York and was handed a racket young. Her aunt and uncle coached her through most of her junior career, and she went on to play Division I college tennis. Somewhere in there she picked up the thing she teaches now: a kid who is enjoying the work will out-practice a kid who is grinding through it.
The name is not decoration. When a lesson stops being fun, the technique stops sticking.
She teaches math to teenagers by day and coaches them on court after the bell. Through the Atlanta Youth Tennis & Education Foundation at Fair Oaks, she coordinates high school tennis for kids across South Cobb. Enjoyable Tennis is where she takes private students of her own, from five-year-olds swinging at a red ball to adults finally learning a real second serve.
